I know some patterns are just breath taking and I have no clue how I ended up with this one in my design gallery. Maybe I saw it on a post and saved it in my never ending library. Maybe a the first customer I painted it for, provided me the image. Who can remember?

I have engaged in some very interesting conversations with other artist over the last few days. We are kicking the tires and putting the jack under the truck, as it were, to launch the new Barn Quilt Artist referral part of the website. Exciting and lots of work for me but it is going to be so worth it if I can help just one person build on their passion, but hopefully many more to grown their business.

I get asked this question from customers and fellow artist all the time. My answer "well that depends on many factors". There are no set time frames and it also depends on when you start the stop watch.

Well it was bound to happen and I could see it coming. Barn Quilts have become so popular that now these are being commercially mass produced and available at Hobby Lobby. Small, and for indoor use but these are there. No, the quality and the size is not comparable but we brought this on ourselves. We have made these so popular.

OM Gosh - the addiction is real! I have been out of the studio since Dec 12th and I am dying to get back. I am so anxious to get busy painting!

I have so many wonderful customers and they continue to surprise me as to where they find a place for a Barn Quilt. It is a part of the addiction and I just am so happy to support it...lol.

I have always done something artistic, "when in the mood". Just asked my late Grandpa who wanted me to paint a hand saw for him that belonged to his daddy. It took me 8 years to "get in the mood". Most truly creative people are like this. It is different with barn quilts because I am not really being creative - I am just repeating something I have seen or copied or plugged colors into an already existing pattern. I don't consider that to be using my creativity. I think
