Just call me Casper!
Updated: Nov 5, 2023
I am sorry that I have not blogged in a couple of weeks or so. I just wanted to say hello to all my followers, old and new and let you know I am still among the living. I have not ghosted you all.
Since I returned home from taking the grand kids back to Florida, I have been wildly crazy trying to get caught up. I finally was able to get some MDO from my supplier but I bought them out so not sure when they will have more in. Fingers crossed it won't be long.
Hopefully I will be able to have some 3 x 3 orders upcoming and have some 1x1's available for purchase. I usually post when available on my FB page or the Barn Quilt Addicts group. It doesn't last long so it is first come, first served.
Anyway, in the last few days I have had my son and his family visiting, three under the age of 4! I learned for house is not child proof and my studio is a really cool place to explore for little ones. They left on Tues after Labor Day and this past weekend, my niece and her 2 yr old came for the weekend. Yea!! More fun with family.
Now that everyone has left, it is quite and I am still working feverishly on orders. I have also been working on my new studio. Between playing carpenter and painter, I am whooped most night. But I have had perfect weather for sleeping outside in my swinging bed and I have loved every minute of it. It is hard to be in the studio with this perfect 70 degree weather and a cozy view of these mountain. Can't wait for the leaves to turn.
Any way, I am still here and I will try to get a video or two together soon. Any ideas on what you'd like to see? Any thing you are curious about? I am so tired at the moment and I have proof read this twice but I am sure I have missed many grammar and spelling errors. Bare with me - laugh with me or at me - as long as you are laughing - all it good.
Book "Enabling the Addiction" is coming along and members of the site and blog will be able to pre-order with a discount! Because you are special to me!

I welcome idea - post below or send me a message and I will see what I can do to help anyone out.
Carry on the addiction,
Talara

You amaze me; your creativity & honesty. The beauty of your art & love for it is enthusiastic too. I bought my first BQ kit from BQ Headquarters a few months ago, but have yet to start. Depression & anxiety runs wild in my family. Both can stifle a person's ability to function. I'm a procrastinator partly due to anxiety, that fear of messing up. One day soo I hope to get all the supplies out of te box & complete the smal 1x1. It is a cardinal & hearts in memory of my nephew who died in June. I hope to give it to my youngest sister, his mom.
Glad you’re back! Family first! Sounds like you had fun.
Question…how do you fix colors put in the wrong place, but didn’t realize until 2 coats were on? Would you leave it, or leave it? in quilting. We call it a design opportunit. lol
