Up, Down, Up, Down - Gets so old...

Picking up a roll of tape that is. Made you wonder with that title...lol. Like many of us, the tape fairy should show up and just do all that work for us so we can move forward to the fun stuff, peeling it off.

I get so frustrated when I am anxious to get one done so that I can get onto the next order. I can't seem to get one taped off fast enough. We all know how important this process is and any help in making it faster would be a benefit. I think I found a small way to help the process out.

I ordered a large tape dispenser from Amazon. My thoughts were that for every time I pick up my roll of tape, tear the length I need, lay it down, and the place the tape, it takes time. Not to mention the repetition of the process. So it dawned on me while wrapping a Christmas gift, a tape dispenser might make it easier.

I received one this week and I have used it to tape off the last three BQ's. I must say, it has made it go a little faster and also less oils from fingers on the tape, This is always good to handle the tape less since that helps it to stick to the board better.

I am not saying it is a miracle solution, that would be the tape fairy, but it has certainly made a difference. I just wish the dispenser I purchased was a little more weighted so that it did not move when pulling longer pieces of tape. But it has been a game changer and made the process go faster.

So let me know if you try this tool and what you think about how it helps in your precision taping. Someone asked about how to create such sharp points on patterns and when I get motivated to put on a bra and out of my PJ's, I might make that video while I watch the snow fall. But don't get your hopes up, I am feeling pretty lazy today when it comes to looking presentable.
