What in the world does a nail file have to do with tape no sticking? Nothing at all but it how a nail file (Emory board) can come in handy was just a little something extra at the end of this impromptu video.

I am pulling my hair out with doing two, yes I said two, of the Patchwork Tulips in 18" along with an Old Crow in 18". These will be pretty and are being hung on a garage together. Did I explain how much I hate doing anything smaller than a 2x2? I do. I just have little patience with the small ones.

Anyway, the humidity in the studio early this morning was high. It is often because I have a poorly insulated roof with tin. Love the sound when it rains but it is often very damp at this time of day and of course, when it rains. I get so frustrated with the tape not sticking.

Frog tape is a great product. I haven't found anything better. I used to always use the yellow tape and cut my rolls in half because it is so expensive. I was very thankful when they changed the formula for the green tape to the same as the yellow so it now adheres as well. I now only use the yellow when I need the transparency, like doing image transfers.

No matter how good the tape is, sometimes Mother Nature wins out. Too much moisture in the air and it will settle on your surface. This will cause the tape to lift. So how do you remove it? I could buy a dehumidifier but you know how I am about spending money. I hate it. So my solution was a small fan heater placed close to the surface.

Yes, it gets hot in my non - air conditioned studio, but hey, I can sweat off a few extra pounds. It does help tremendously.

As far as the nail file, well just watch and your will see that little trick!
