Talara Parrish is a Barn Quilt Artist and lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains. She was born and raised in Ashe Co., North Carolina. She moved to Jacksonville, Florida in the mid-'80s. She retired and returned home to Jefferson, N.C. where she has a home studio where she paints Barn Quilts.
She has hand-painted over 3,000 of these works of art. She was inspired by the relaxation of enjoying her Adult Coloring Books and has incorporated popular quilt patterns with the inspiration behind the patterns. Talara recently published several books that give tips and how-tos for fellow Barn Quilt artists.
